Yahoo messenger allows one to set their online status, and appear offline to everyone (be invisible) or to a selected few contacts.If a person decides to keep his status invisible, his id will appear offline in others contacts lists.
To know if a contact is really offline or just hiding , one can use various softwares that can be installed or those which are available as online tools. I prefer the second kind.These online tools work on a vulnerability in the Yahoo! messenger protocol, and hence could stop working either temporarily or pemenantly if yahoo “patches up” it’s server. Google search has a lot of advanced search capabilities. An interesting feature is the “I’m feeling lucky” search option. It takes the user directly to the first search result without going through the search results page. If a user “is feeling lucky” 
, the search engine will return the perfect match to him . It can save a lot of time on certain search strings. According to a google employee, roughly 1% of the google searches are through this option and it costs google more that 110 million dollars annually as the ads on the search result page are now out of the question.Then why does google continue this?Well i guess google is not completely commercial
